Research
- Mapping: Using instruments like GPS, Compass and laser meter and Software which is called Map Source for helping us to know strike of the vein, direction of gallery, distance and to know each crosscut where it is located at surface.
- Exploring pit or gallery: It is used for the purpose of knowing the number of the vein which is intrusive or extrusive features in mountain.
- Exploring pit or gallery: It is used for the purpose of knowing the number of the vein which is intrusive or extrusive features in mountain.
- Information: Old miner and experienced miner’s information.
Exploitation
As main method of mining in history was used open pit mining, open cast mining and Ground sluices system using. This system of mining produced around tens of millions tons of tailings which are placed in the mine area. Bugambira Ltd introduced underground mine around
2011 for the purpose of keeping environment in the mine. Exploiting wolframite (WO3), it occurs by using underground mine where we use, room and pillar, sub level open stopping and cut & fill for the purpose of hitting quartzite vein which is given wolframite (WO3) after treatment.
Minerals treatment
We recover wolframite (WO3) as follow:
- Hand pick.
- Ground sluicing method
- Panning method.
- Processing plant (shaking tables, trammel screens, crushers, ..)
